Convenient scanning of documents directly into a dedicated folder on a user’s desktop is one of the most often requested and valued scan workflows for users who want to “simply scan a document.”
A user selects the “Scan to desktop” workflow at the device user interface (UI) and starts scanning. On the first scan, a new folder is created by the uniFLOW SmartClient on the user’s desktop PC. Once the scanned files are processed and available for the user, a Windows notification informs the user about newly available scan jobs. Clicking the notification takes the user directly to the stored files.

The user’s files are available on the desktop for immediate use without any need to access additional software or cloud services e.g., mail services or cloud storage. The file is just “there”.
