Apart from their talent and bravery, and ability to plan and execute stunts safely, Keaton and Lloyd had fans, and lots of them back then. Chaplin didn't do dangerous, fatal if done wrong, stunts. The Englishman doesn't have fans, he has a cult. A political cult of the Left who project onto him all their own causes and ideologies. A man who lived mostly in America during his productive years, in a mansion, with a serving staff, waited on hand and foot, and with a deeply flawed attachment to underage females. But the cult doesn't care, he was a millionaire but one of them in the proletariat. Give me the Yanks, Lloyd and Keaton, not the Limey Lefty, and the cult.

A lot of Lloyd was optical illusion ... research it you will see the mattress about 6ft below him on the clock scene
