Intermediate Value Theorem

ntermediate Value Theorem - The idea of the Intermediate Value Theorem is discussed. I then do two examples using the IVT to justify that two specific functions have roots.

yep... you make over 50 hours of videos with no mistakes : )
i show extra steps instead of fewer; if one does not need them, do not use them. if you do need them, and do not see them, it is confusing

I'm taking pre-calc online this semester (big mistake...) and the book happens to be super confusing. I don't even use it anymore. I just look at the topic on the syllabus, come straight to your page, and search for the topic at hand. Thanks for taking the time to make these and for putting so much effort into helping people understand. I just got an A on my first test! 
Also, it doesn't look like anyone has told you in a couple maffs iz wrong.

Youtube has no idea on how amazing your way of teaching is. Your voice is soothing, it doesn't piss me off no matter how many times I repeat your video. Your handwriting is neat and It doesn't grind my gears when I read them. Your nails are cut properly... JUST KIDDING! haha.

in the 1st example what do you mean by going from -ve to +ve?

In your example, when you're plugging in the interval for f(1) you said it was equal to -3, but its supposed to be a -1, because its 1-3+1, not -1-3+1.
but other then that, your videos rock and will likely be the reason I pass my final tomorrow! Thanks a ton

You are the most amazing teacher ever. I sit through a long lecture that I pay way too much for and don't fully understand concepts and my teachers don't always have answers to my questions. I listened to my math teacher talk about this for like an hour and had no idea what he was talking and you have just enlightened me within the first few minutes on how this works and made it obvious y its called INTERMEDIATE (Pick the number between the interval) and how it works thanks a lot...I can now finish my math hw and do good on the test...I hope lol
