I just bought the fabric to make this sweet little quilt. I was with a group from my church prayer quilt ministry shopping for fabric at two shops the other day and nobody at all like the solid fabrics that I was choosing because none of them like using solid fabrics. I just think this is such a sweet quilt so I’m making it for myself and I may end up giving it as a baby quilt someday. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it but I have to make this quilt. I just love the colors and those are the colors that I bought. I’m not a solid fabric person either but this quilt is called me so thank you for the wonderful tutorial.

As all of your quilts, I love this one! Going to try to make it a queen size quilt. Love the Baptist fan quilting!

I like the size of this block - with an extra row on the side and a couple on the bottom it would be perfect for my guild’s charity quilts for children in crisis! Just change the colors, for different ages of the kids - we never know the ages when we donate so we try to make quilts for any age!! And the 3-block by 3-block size would fit the inside of my front door!!! I don’t usually go for pastels but I really like the looks of this small quilt😄😄😄

Fussy cutting a print in the center would also be cute. Very cute quilt and ideas.

Cute!
Question?? 🤷‍♀️ Wouldn't it be quicker to strip sew the bar blocks and cut them to size?

The quilting makes the quilt, I think. Too bad not everyone can afford to have those sent out to have quilted, I know I cannot. And I have tried for years to learn the free motion it just does not like me. I love your mini quilt better than the large one. Nice job! I noticed your machine, I have a Bernette 77. I bought for my 70th birthday almost three years ago. Love it.

I love the quilt pattern and the embroidery flowers in the center brilliant!! That changes the look of quilt. I would make is walk hanging size for a kitchen, embroidered herbs that are used for cooking!! Endless possibilities!

As soon as I saw that solid center square, I thought of the little woodland animals in a machine embroidery design pack and the fairy alphabet (needs a few more blocks lol)

Thanks for the lovely tutorial Misty.

This quilt is soo pretty- love the ‘mini’ version.
Love the use of solids- can easily be made for boy/girl/neutral -
Also would be a great topper for a table. The Embroidery idea is priceless!❤️
I have always had a BERNINA- and it finally literally wore out the gears- it was an all metal - I purchased a Bernette 70 Deco and a Bernette 77-
Mine are extremely quiet and very easy to use. The biggest difference is the use of the different feet- as the Bernette feet snap on.
I like the fact that MSQ uses different machines.
