The xCloud Update Is Finally Here

Xbox has just announced the biggest xCloud update this year and it will allow you to stream games you already own across the service but there are many things you need to know about before doing so.

Beta always comes with caveats, Google latest lawsuit delayed Android implementation. Still a huge positive win for gamers to not only stream select existing owned games but also future purchases of just buying once. Unlike other competitors, that makes gamers purchase for each platform.

Now every device is an Xbox. Having the ability to play any game I own & will own in future, plus hundreds of games from Xbox Microsoft Gaming all for 20 bucks…that’s POWERFUL BEYOND DREAMS.

Cloud gaming really needs to get out of beta and launch with improved features already.

This slow and steady building of features over years for a beta streaming service isn’t something Xbox should be doing when console sales are dropping.

i’m my opinion, it should’ve been free, or atleast they could’ve given us free players a trial, i wish i could enjoy forza because i don’t actually own an xbox that can play it

This new feature is available on firesticks, samsung tvs, mobile but not on series x?? I dont get it, i just tried streaming witcher 3 and theres only a dowmload option.

xbox streaming, not supported on an actual xbox. i mean i guess the thinking is that you can just install the game there but it looks bad..
Also advertising the ability to play your own games seems a bit weird? that seems like a given than i should be able to play games that i already paid full price for, atleast to a regular consumer that doesn't quite understand the details of streaming. it feels like it should be "play your games on any device" or something.
i'm really disapointed in xcloud in general, the performance and image quality is way behind something like geforce now, where you've been able to play your steam games for a heck of a while btw
