H mandala είναι ένα κυκλικό περίπλοκο σχέδιο που συμβολίζει το ότι η ζωή είναι ένας κύκλος που ποτέ δεν τελειώνει.
Αντιπροσωπεύει το Όλον, τη σύνδεση σου με το Άπειρο και τη συνείδηση που πηγαίνει πιο πέρα και πιο μακριά από το μυαλό και το σώμα σου. Περίπλοκο, ε; Μπορεί…
Όμως μόλις “μπεις” στην ενέργεια μιας mandala όλα θα βρουν το νόημα τους.

Οι ινδουιστές και οι βουδιστές είναι οι πρώτοι που χρησιμοποίησαν τη mandala, αρχικά για τον διαλογισμό τους. Ήταν ο τρόπος τους για να γίνουν Ένα με το Σύμπαν. Στην εποχή μας και στη Δύση χρησιμοποιούνται αρκετά όχι μόνο από μεμονωμένα άτομα αλλά και από ομάδες με σκοπούς θεραπείας ή εξέλιξης της συνείδησης.
Είτε το καταλαβαίνεις συνειδητά είτε όχι όταν ασχολείσαι με μια mandala στην ουσία παλεύεις και νικάς τον φόβο της υπαρξιακής μοναξιάς. Καταλαβαίνεις ότι δεν είσαι μόνος σε αυτόν τον κόσμο, καθώς είσαι ένα με το σύμπαν, ένα αναπόσπαστο και αγαπημένο μέρος του.
Αυτό που λένε οι βουδιστές ότι η mandala είναι ένας τρόπος να βιώσουν το Όλον δεν είναι υπερβολή. Είναι η αλήθεια.

What is a Mandala?
A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Asian cultures. It can be understood in two different ways: externally as a visual representation of the universe or internally as a guide for several practices that take place in many Asian traditions, including meditation. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the belief is that by entering the mandala and proceeding towards its center, you are guided through the cosmic process of transforming the universe from one of suffering into one of joy and happiness.

Everyone has a story. We love telling them and we love hearing them. Stories are about sharing. It is through our sharing that we become wiser, gain deeper understanding, become more inspired, and better equipped to become all that we can be.

Art is a limitless, creative method of expression used to share our stories. Be it a painting, a dance, a song, a movie or a sculpture (or more), we can be moved, deeply touched to laugh, cry or think. Art reaches deep into our being and opens up emotions, responses and experiences. It awakens our inner self to feel. From the minute detail to the big picture art gets it. Art knows it and we know it.

As artists, it is our responsibility to inspire ourselves to inspire others to inspire change.
