We had the biggest expectations with the Vita after seen how it was introduced at E3
I thought it was gonna be a PS3 PS4 handheld just like the PSP was PSX PS2 handheld.

And little did all those applauding audience members know that the PS Vita would basically be on life-support from the very start. It's ironic since "vita" means "life" -- a life that was cut very short in terms of first-party support anyway.

Considering the impeding 3ds eShop shutdown, the PS Vita is still on the chopping block. I feel like we only postponed the inevitable. I'm grabbing as many digital titles as possible.

As for the 3ds, I still need to grab the Fire Emblem games on it. They have not aged well for me, but they are nostalgic. I may not play them as much as I used to, but I will try to revisit them once in a blue moon.

Ordinarily I'd find it bitterly ironic that the system named for 'life' was given so little of it by the ones who named it. But now that storm Eunice has knocked out my power and I'm eating salami and cheese sandwiches by candlelight (trying to empty the fridge before the food goes bad. Why do i have 5 packs of cheese?!), my Vita is showing more life than most things in my home. So we're off to Silent Hill to spend that last bit of battery charge dearly.

Vita is as much a success as Commodore 64. C64 sold for 17 million computers. Vita is 16 million strong. There were 4-7 million Amigas and that is also a success.
