The 4 Stages of Shadow Work // spiritual ascension process

Shadow work. Like it or not, it's part and parcel of the spiritual awakening process. In fact, spiritual ascension is largely a matter of moving through the stages of shadow work.

Often the shadow is seen as the enemy, but Nature shows us differently. In a healthy environment and properly balanced with Light, the shadow side can actually be an ally - and in fact is an essential part of the creative journey.

On a recent hike, I was given insight into 4 stages of relationship with the shadow self. Hopefully it will help you move through your own stages of shadow work with grace and relative ease.

2nd video of yours I've watched and I do strangely feel alot of ways in which I can identify with or better organize my own thoughts and feelings that I've been having about my shadow self and openly reincorporating my darkness again but, not letting it overshadow my entire personality like it use to. It's been just as weird to identify with any sort of light and embrace colour/light (art, dress style, language, openess), but I am experimenting with balancing and finding harmony in my character as I explore.

The dark side is not the shadow side.

The shadow is more of the memories that have effected your soul. This includes good and bad. The most atrocious evils that you can imagine, maybe a few you can't. There is also your most unconditional love. Your soul is in there. Go get it. Then go through your shadow.

Once you make it out the other side it is quite soothing. The breakdown of living any torture you have endured is quite lengthy but the process is necessary.

You don't give yourself to the shadow you are too cowardous to finish the mission. Walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil. Or they have no faith.

The shadow will not allow you to lie to yourself. You have to choose good or evil before you go and fight for that side. There is no neutral, you have chosen evil.

Could there be one more stage? Awareness or enlightenment - where evil is known as ignorance. In darkness sin, ignorance, suffering, anger, hatred are still illusions, yet seem to take on a reality of their own, as they may shine in the darkness. When showered w/ light they do not exist, and nothing real(LOVE) can be threatened. I realize this may be easier to live by as one w/ feminine energy within a male body I may have more confidence in self-protection, to begin with.🐌
