Listen to the track "A Small Plot of Land" from Donny McCaslin's new album 'Beyond Now'!

Deeply influenced by his extraordinary experience collaborating with David Bowie on his final release, 'Blackstar', Donny McCaslin steps forward with BEYOND NOW, a heartfelt dedication to the Starman. Along with “David Bowie’s Last Band” (Jason Lindner, Mark Guiliana, Tim Lefebvre and Donny himself), Donny reimagines two Bowie tracks (as well as tracks by Deadmau5 and MUTEMATH) alongside powerful originals, displaying the rich musicality and innovation that originally led to him joining forces with one of the most creative artists of all time.

It`s a brillant cover by a brillant musician! Thank you for building a brigde from Blackstar to Outside! Love the sax on Blackstar. Both albums "premium" favorites out of a lot of favorite Bowie albums. All the best for 2017 and your own career...

This is better than the original and Jeff Taylor is a wonderful vocalist and he puts his all into singing, especially on this particular song. Well done Donny and Co, you guys rock 🤘🤘

Didn't realise Donny was a singer. And a good one, too. Great cover.

Excellent version true to original in only the way Donny could arrange it. Feckin great as we say in Ireland. Just thinking how outside would sound if Donny and his band recorded it with David.. Alas

World at large too dumb to hear or research Bowie's love of jazz and blues. TREX lacked that respect and knowledge compared with BOWIE. TREX entertained. BOWIE created. And first note to last note OUTSIDE is my fav BOWIE creation. "Man I need a TV when I have TREX. OH BROTHER you guessed....IMMA DUDE." Listen to the sax on the DAVID LIVE version of ALL THE YOUNG DUDES. That's jazz and blues and RIP and reet petite and how ya do.

Not good. Why would you change the lyrics like that? It no longer means what Bowie intended it to mean.
