CBS News poll shows tight Senate race in Georgia

The midterm elections are just weeks away, and a new CBS News Battleground Tracker poll in Georgia showed just how tight the Senate race is between incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and his Republican challenger, Herschel Walker. CBS News executive director of elections and surveys Anthony Salvanto joined "Red and Blue" to break down the poll.

warnock has good moral character, is a good role model and has the experience ? first off police were called numerous times to his atlanta home on domestic calls his wife refused to prosecute, he supports aborting God innocent babies - dang i thought he was a preacher how can you preach in God temple and support that ? experience ??? he was a preacher and has served less that two years in the senate WHAT EXPERIENCE ARE YOU REFERRING TO ? as for walker sure he has the same skeletons as warnock apparently but is against abortion and didn't just vote for 3/4 of a TRILLION BS spending bill that will do Nothing for you and me ! walker experience - he runs a business that's more the warnock or biden have EVER DONE ! voting for warnock or any democrat is just voting for more spenting and taxes and making Georgia just like California - here a though just move to California .

Would the people who are going to vote for Walker want him to be the Athletic Director of the University of Georgia? His life experiences make him more qualified for that than Senator and I highly doubt anyone would want him as AD. But, heck, why not elect him Senator? What can go wrong?

Let's get the obvious out of the way: The fact that two black men are at the top of the Democratic and Republican tickets is historic in and of itself. If these were two black women, we would NEVER stop hearing about it. The #BlackGirlMagic and #WomanKing hashtags would be all over the place. That said, when it comes to these two gentlemen: I think Senator Warnock has carried himself with class and made the role his own. But I REALLY dislike how Democrats have demonized Herschel Walker in their campaign ads. The guy has made some mistakes but they were directly tied to a disorder he was diagnosed with in 2001, which was OVER 20 YEARS AGO. He took accountability for those mistakes and sought professional help, then opened up about it in 2008 to help others. That should be admired and celebrated. As a black man, the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party sickens me (and not just on this issue). I have nothing bad to say about Senator Warnock: My only issue with him is that God-forsaken party he's affiliated with. And because of that, I will be voting for Herschel Walker this November. He isn't the most articulate, but I think he's humble and sincere, and will make a fine senator if given the opportunity to do the job.
