This is pretty much how its been for 30 years. Allows us to have the commentary while getting constant visuals of the vehicle.

RIP to the real Pathfinder, this is a waterdowned soccer mobile. Best Pathfinder chassis was the original that shared the D21 chassis, ain't none since been as reliable and capable.

Motor Trend magazine gave the Pathfinder the "Mallfinder" name. However, they were pretty impressed and it had some off-road capability, but night like before. Want a Nissan offroader, try the Xterra (if it's there) or the Armada, but you'll take a fuel hit...

I think Nissan is going for the 2 big Kahunas in the three row crossover market -- Toyota Highlander and Chevy Traverse.

The old one had more character I think, this design is too mainstream

100% agree. I went from a 1998 4Runner to a 2003 Highlander then to a 2003 4Runner. My 2003 4Runner feels like you're in a Lexus (Which you in a way are since the GX is based off the 4Runner) If you were to close your eyes and not know you're in a SUV, it would feel like you're in a much more expensive, more luxury aimed car. I wouldn't take the body on frame construction for Unibody for anything. Oh, and power delivery is amazing for a Body on frame SUV w/ tons of offroad capability.

Sorry Nissan, you went soft when you shouldn't have. The only reason anyone really bought the prior generation is because of the few who still enjoy a body on frame SUV with a conventional 4x4 system. (like myself). Now its just a large crossover with too much competition. Conventional SUVs are vanishing from the market, leaving a few like the Tahoe/Yukon, 4Runner, Wrangler, & Expedition to choose.

88 mph? Why didn't it go back to 1985?

Thank the suburban soccer moms who gave Nissan the idea to gut the Pathfinder name. SMH...

Why can't Nissan bring some Diesel engine options here in North America from its Europe or Asian offerings. I would love to own an Nissan Pathfinder or Pajero in 2500 cc Turbo Diesel with Intercooler and Def.

They should of just shrunked the Pathfinder closer to Xterra size & the kept the traditional SUV design.

I bought a 2013 Pathfinder about 8 months ago. It is the worst vehicle ever!!! There have been two recalls and more to come. The vehicle shudders (had to have a new transmission put in), abs brakes are defective, the passenger airbag is defective and the roof racks are constantly coming off... If you are looking for a reliable, long lasting, safe vehicle Do not buy a Pathfinder
