Показать описание
Palazzo Manfredi is an elegant hideaway in the center of what was once imperial Rome. The charming 17th-century palace has spectacular views of the Colosseum, the Forum, and the Domus Aurea, combined with superb hospitality. Built over the Ludus Magnus ruins, the gymnasium used by Roman gladiators, Palazzo Manfredi, was the Guidi gardens' hunting pavilion. Today it is tastefully adorned with art ranging from 16th-century antique paintings to contemporary pieces. The hotel offers an intimate experience, crowned only by a meal at the hotel's Aroma restaurant, where the culinary delights beautifully match the unparalleled vistas of ancient Rome.
The origins are ancient. Just look at the neighbors. In ancient Rome, just a few meters from where the superb Palazzo Manfredi boutique hotel now stands, were four barracks, accommodations, and a training school for gladiators fighting in the Colosseum. The History - Count Goffredo Manfredi - Born in 1918, Count Goffredo Manfredi is one of Rome's most visible public figures, renowned for his entrepreneurial ventures, elegant residences, and refined hospitality. At his side, his wife Countess Enrica is descended from the old Russian imperial family and the English Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Together for 58 years, this extraordinary couple has written one of the most cultured chapters in Roman high society. Count Manfredi founded his first construction company in 1936 when he was just 18 years old. He took part in the Resistance during World War II, for which he was decorated with the Silver Medal of Military Valour. In the 1950s, the Count played a major role in rebuilding the Italian economy. Palazzo Manfredi, an exclusive luxury hotel, is one of the Count's latest ventures, embodying more than any other the opulence and sophistication of his lifestyle.
The Concierge Service at the magnificent five-star Palazzo Manfredi is on hand to satisfy your every need, both during your stay and at the time of booking, to ensure you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
The Chef - Giuseppe Di Iorio - Hailing from a large family with roots in Rome and Calabria, six siblings, and a father who loves to cook, Giuseppe Di Iorio discovered cooking in the most Italian of ways. After attending hotel school in Rome, he joined the Margutta restaurant before moving to London's prestigious Hyde Park Hotel, where he worked under the guidance of Giuseppe Sestito, the first Italian to hold the position of executive chef at the famous establishment. On his return to Rome, Giuseppe entered the world of exclusive hotel restaurants, working at such prestigious establishments as Hotel Inghilterra and Parco dei Principi. In 2005, he was reunited with Giuseppe Sestito at the Michelin-starred Mirabelle restaurant on the Hotel Splendide Royal terrace. Experience, finesse, and personality: Giuseppe has the perfect CV to be the star of his own show, the superb Aroma Restaurant.
