I can scarcely express what this man’s music means to me. All I can say is “Thank you, Brian.”

As an autistic man obsessed with music I can’t help but feel connection to Brian. A rare occurrence in my experience on this plane.

As a kid growing up in Huntington Beach, California in the '60s I took the Beach Boys music for granted. Now Brian's music really touches me to my core. There are no words to describe the happiness his music makes me feel.

Without Brian Wilson's Pet Sounds there would have been no Sgt Peppers. Brian's genius in music was what other composers of the day had to catch up with.

Brian Wilson is like a National Monument. He must always be protected and preserved.

It's not just that Brian's a revered genius, it's that he was always a genuinely nice guy. That means more than anything in the end.

Love Brian, can’t wait to see this. Saw Brian live 10 days ago, was awesome. Do yourself a favor and catch him as soon as possible!

Oh man, Brian you are the best.

In 1979, I saw the Beach Boys for the first time at the Greek in Berkeley. At intermission I was down on the floor near stage right between Randy Bachman's opener band (Ironhorse) and before the Beach Boys coming out. There was a single unobscured doorway to the backstage area. Brian was there, and he was looking directly at me- I was the only one there looking that way. I don't remember if I waved or nodded or anything- I don't think I did- what stuck with me was the far away stare that you see in many of his photos of the time, and for a moment I felt his pain. It's a moment that has stuck in my head. I am so happy he is still with us.

You can see Brian’s brilliance in the Pet Sounds outtakes. His ability to clearly articulate the sound he wanted - at such a young age - even if it did come across as uncompromising. The finished album speaks for itself.

I absolutely cannot wait to see this... I saw Brian, Al, and Blondie 2 weeks ago and he played 3 of my top 5 bb songs... He is a national treasure, true artist and musical equivalent to Mozart in my opinion... The Bach of Rock...he is my hero, a true example that one can overcome mental illness or at least manage it and recover from addiction, I suffer from both and Brian's music has been a key to helping me stay clean. In the words of the great Art Garfunkel.. "God bless you Brian Wilson".

If you guys have not seen the biopic Love and Mercy and you like Brian Wilson, you have to watch it. It's amazing.

Brian Wilson has made some of the most divine music I’ve ever heard. Pet Sounds, SMiLE, Smiley Smile, Surfs Up (the album), Beach Boys Love You, are albums that truly kept me alive

Though his legacy will live forever, Brian thankfully is still here, and he needs to know how loved and appreciated he is.

A man with talent out-of-this-world, but in many regards, just a person like the rest of us. The victory lap continues!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of seeing Brian perform for the second time in my life. The first was his final Pet Sounds tour a few years ago, and this one was just playing classic Beach Boys tunes. I've gotta say, it really takes a while for it to kick in inside my head that I'm watching my musical hero, who created albums that quite literally changed my life, performing those very songs right before my eyes. It's almost like an out-of-body experience. It's a miracle he's even still performing, let alone recording new material to this day.
