Hey there, just wanted to share this for all the Dime fans. These are the steps I use to do the (Dimebag Squeals) not saying they’re the correct way, I watched several videos of some doing it and this is just how I was able to figure it out hopefully it helps someone along the way.

It does make it easier having nicer gear but as long as you have decent distortion and a “whammy Bar” lol you should be able to figure it out🤘

tip - press a wah pedal down when you do them. The note will sustain longer

💯 I see other people on YT try to teach it and they do it wrong! LOL It’s difficult to do this technique as fast as he did. It’s not easy either you need precision on those harmonics and some are very hard to do.

Just subscribed man! I’m having issues with the dime squeals. I understand how to do it but no matter how much gain I use or even if I shut my gate off I don’t get the sustained solid squeal like that. I even have a dimebucker. I can find the spots where I get those really piercing harmonics but they die so fast and they aren’t as loud or in your face. Do you use a wah pedal to help with those? Any idea why I might be having issues?

hey i have a question before my string broke on me while doing a squeal it fucked up my bridge i had to rebalance it and the whammy bar became even more stiff than before, is there a way i could make it less stiff

How do I get it on the second fret? I can get it on the 4th fret and 3rd fret (barely) how do I get it on the second fret? I’m struggling to catch the harmonic

question, Obviously your bridge is floating. But from the looks of it, it seems you have a “NON-recessed” tremolo. Is that true??? So in other words it’s possible to do a dime squeal / have a floating bridge on a non recessed Floyd rose?? I just bought an EVH Wolfgang standard and the Floyd rose is non recessed aka it’s built to be dive only not floating and I wanna know if I can dime squeal on it
