This was some of the best money I've ever spent. I've had mine for several years and use it daily. Because of arthritis I literally couldn't function in the kitchen without it.

Bush's beans? Did Bailey set this up, to impress her heart-throb, Duke?😂

The can/safety opener takes a little getting used to at first, but after that it’s nothing. I love it. The edges aren’t sharp and it allows you to reseal the can, if you don’t use everything at first.

I have had mine for about 7 years. Still works great to this day. My favorite thing is can opening, the lids aren't sharp AND you can reuse the lid if you don't want to use up all of the product at once!

HeyJames! Just for you and the others, this product from QVC is fantastic! Why? Get into your seventies or later (I’m 78) when your hand strength etc isn’t what it use to be! I bought it initially about ten years ago because of the ability to seemingly open a tin can and have no resulting sharp metal edges or debris to fall into your food…I have since bought one for everyone I know just to give them that safety factor…plus have you ever looked at the resulting gunk that builds near the gear on the outdated kind? And It will no longer cut your finger lifting the lid off the can…I also can no longer use a pull ring on a can without its help! Thanks though, I actually had forgotten about the jar lid lifter…sometimes the tap on the side of the lid with the back of a knife or running it under hot water will not work!

I gave my mom a similar opener for Christmas last year. She has been having a hard time opening jars lately, so I thought she would like it. It's also a Khun Rikon product, nearly identical, but instead of the safety can opener, it has a different kind of jar opener that would work on that larger lid you showed. You clamp it on and twist. It also has an extra hole in the handle to twist off hot sauce caps. Mom already had a safety can opener, so this model was perfect for her. All the features work great. One nice thing about ordering from QVC or HSN is that they often have lots of extra colors to choose from. The opener I gave Mom is a pretty tangerine color.

I've had mine for a number of years, and it's never failed me. One of the few kitchen tools that are well made, comfortable to hold. It is bulky so it does take a bit of space in your kitchen drawer, but that's just a minor complaint, and not even really a complaint, just an FYI. They come in a dozen colors, but color for me isn't important in a kitchen tool, what's important is that it works as advertised and this certainly does.

$23 isn't bad for everything this does along with build quality. I'll definitely keep my lids open for this gadget.

I like mine! My daughter bought it for me off of QVC when she bought hers. Placed it in my "catch all drawer" in the kitchen and don't use it that much, but it works fine when I do use it. Thank you for your review.

I’ve had this for ages and I really like it. It was a house warming gift for when I move in to my apartment over 10 years ago. It’s still a staple in my drawer and gets the job/s done fairly easily and quickly. Mine’s a sky blue color, my mom’s is red but I haven’t seen the other colors. When I saw this was what you were reviewing, I knew it’d be cake for ya lol.

This is the best can opener I've ever used.

I've given them as gifts for years and still hear how great they are.

Every time I sold the Kuhn Ricon opener on QVC it would always sell really well from the demos - and the solid production quality. The smooth edge from the cut lid was always the best feature for me!

We have had this gadget for a while now and love it! We mainly use it for the can opener, but everything else in it works great too. My only complaint is it's just a bit large and bulky.

The jar-opener seems to be the best part to me. Sometimes jars are ridiculously difficult to open, and that seems like, in the cases with a standard lid (which is almost every case), it would work very well every time. I can use a simple pull tab with just a spoon to help me, if my nails are too short at the time, so that seems like the least necessary part to me. The twist top soda-bottle opener seems excellent for someone who drinks soda (not me), because soda has to be closed super tight to hold in the carbonation; so it's good to be prepared to open it after; if I were a soda drinker, that might be my favorite part. High quality can opener too.

I've had this thing for many years and use it almost daily. I have a permanently injured hand so I've had to resort to an electric can opener, but the other features are great. I especially like the pull tab opener. This gadget is virtually indestructible and well worth the price.

If you want a method to test out these jar openers on tough jars, try filling a jar to the brim with ice and water, closing the lid on it, and leaving it until the ice melts. As the ice melts it'll create a strong vacuum in the jar that really locks the lid on. Also saves on potential wasted food (though I'm sure you eat everything you open).

I have the older and if you can believe even bulkier version of this. Honestly, I prefer just having the can opener section and can pull feature. I've had the old one for over a decade, and this seems like a great updated version.

Edit: went to buy one and saw they actually have a model that's just the can opener and lid puller. Awesome!

I kinda like that it's so big and bulky. My mom has the arthritis and her vision is not the best, she currently has 3 of the swingline openers all in red so she can always find one when needed. I'm definitely going to get her one of these and hopefully she will be able to keep track of it because of its size.

I've had one for about a decade. For me it's an accessibility tool because of wrist issues. I have a separate tool for bottle and jar lids because the cap wrench part is limited: in addition to what you found with the water bottle it also can't engage screw caps that lack the fine valleys and ridges; the old style where they're each about 1/8" wide won't work

I saw the picture and commented immediately. I've had a can opener exactly like this for about 11 years. I never had a problem. I have the really old style can opener too which I use mostly for tuna cans and cans of tomato paste. Cooks will understand the reason to have two. You cannot squeeze out the tuna over the sink with a new "fancy" opener like this. The lid doesn't go in to the can.
