India's new ELECTRIC ROCKET THRUSTER | Bellatrix Pushpak

Bellatrix showed off its new hall effect thruster recently. I bring you some exclusive information on Bellatrix Thruster and their new Orbital transfer vehicle called Pushpak which will compete with Momentus vehicles. @isroofficial5866 is a potential future customer of this and their other thrusters. @bellatrixaerospace is their channel.

China's core module of space station Tianhe also uses electric propulsion. They became the first & only space agency that used an electric propulsion in a human habitation module.
I hope we could also see something like that on our future space station.

OTV's can also be used to achieve proper orbit after being delivered by a ride share missions. This is cheaper as smallsat launchers which deliver the payload to its exact orbit are very expensive. Using an otv can also make it easier to build satelites as the scientists do not have to worry about propulsion/attitude control and can just use the otv as a propulsion module.

I used to always wonder that even after years of innovation we are still relying heavily on chemical propulsion to get to space. I feel that now we are so lucky to be in a revolutionary phase of electrification and I am so glad to see that an ion engine is being developed in India.
