Great review! MSC Cruises is definitely on our list to try. Norwegian seemed to over cook their steaks on the Breakaway. The ship looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!

The value on return on MSC is light years ahead of Carnival… it’s time to rage against the Carnival machine! 🤪😜🤪

Very nice review! I booked MSC Seascape for next year. I hadn’t heard much about MSC. I was originally looking to go on Royal or celebrity their prices were high on their mega ships, I’m cruising with a family of 8 kids ranging 3-21 so I wanted a bigger ship so everyone would have something to do. Celebrity eq 16, 000 royal icon 15, 000 both inside non connected rooms family of 8. I was just about to book celebrity but I didn’t like the ports because we’ve done them numerous of times.. bahamas, nassu, Freeport. So at the last minute I called MSC and they offered me a 7 day cruise Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico. For 5, 000 dollars with two connecting balcony cabins an offer I couldn’t refuse.
I know you get what you pay for, after watching so many reviews I’m wondering now if I made a mistake. 😂 we will see, I’m thinking this is too good to be true

It was nice to spend sometime with Y'all on the ship. The 9 foot dancing dinosaur on the White Night Party said be sure to say Howdy to you both.

This was my 18th or so cruise on MSC over the past few years. I did a 14 night back to back when I met you. About to embark on another back to back on a different MSC ship two weeks after getting off the Seascape. Then, a week after that, back to Seascape for my third b2b in less than two months.

I agree you some reviews you had on your sailing. I missed most shows. The "smart" elevators were a challenge. The doors closed so fast. Many guests ere rude with the elevators. I was using a walker and often pushed out of the way as I stood in line at the elevators. We learned, from first hand experience, much of the Seascape is in no way handicap friendly, in so many ways. The crew though was FANTASTIC. They tried hard to make it fun.

We did the MDR My Choice in the Skyline (deck 7) on the week you sailed. We tried the surf and turf as well. I was served "rubber" lobster. I could not cut mine. I asked two of my wait staff to try and help me cut my lobster. One female and one male wait staff. Both tried and all three of us were unable to cut my lobster. It is not good when you drop the meat of the lobster tail, on the floor, and it bounces back up to you like the old Whammo Super Balls we had as kids.

The first night of the second week. After you had disembarked. We had dinner in the Green Wave MDR. The next morning I was admitted to the Medical Center on deck 4. The ship's doctor ran tests. Confirmed I got food poisoning on the ship. I had to spend the next five of my remaining seven days either in the hospital getting IV's or restricted to my cabin under isolation or quarantine some called it. I missed Ocean Cay both weeks.

Will I sail MSC again? As I said. I have sailed on three different MSC ships already. Divinia, Meraviglia and now the Seascape for a total of about 18 sailings so far. Even did seven back to backs on the Meravigla over the 2022 Christmas Holiday season. So many crew members know me from past sailings. So many pictures with others. Guests and crew alike. We have become like family with many crew, officers, even ship captains. Been cruising on multiple ships and multiple cruise lines well over 150 times within the past 50 years. I'll be on the Seaside soon for a 10 day b2b. Then back to the Seascape for another two week b2b cruise. There are others I know who obtained gastrointestinal disease or food poisoning on the Seascape, during my two week sailing. I'll give the ship another shot.

As you said, there were good and not so good things I too experienced on the Seascape. Overall I kept an open mind. Made the best of my time on board. Missed most of my ports of call on the second half of my cruise. Even being restricted by the ship doctor to not leave the ship. I was brought "food" sometimes by room service to my cabin. I was not charged by the medical center for IV's, medicine and multiple medical visits due to I obtained the food poisoning while eating the ship's food. But the cruise line has yet to reach out to us about any type of refund or apology, like guest services promised, since the doctor kept me in quarantine for five of my last seven days, due the the ship food giving me a major bout of food poisoning.

In closing. Nice spending time with you both. The Pirate Captain, and the dancing dinosaur both say hello. Hang In There my new Brother. Hang In There. Chat with you again.
