In addition to smuggling the children, she would also teach them things before taking them to their new homes, and would often just... adopt children to permanently have. She was a nurse, and was able to pretend that she had a hospital/ward in her home for sick children, though these children were actually just children she had taken in and told to feign symptoms when the Nazis came around. She taught the children how to pretend to be Christian, and gave them fake names, parents, and backstories. She lead Bible study groups to teach them how to pretend to be Christian, and she said that it hurt her to make these children throw away their souls. She was amazing. Jack, the trait for polydactylity(spelling might be wrong), or having more than five fingers is actually a dominant trait: HOWEVER, because the majority of people only have on average 5 fingers per hand makes that the 'common' trait

I didn’t see this commented so I’m sorry if it was, but six fingers is a dominant trait so the kids of someone with six fingers are highly likely to also have six fingers. I have always found that interesting and just wanted to share! Love watching you guys!

The reasons for the increase in people with an extra finger is because the gene that causes polydactyly is actually dominant over the one that causes 5 fingers. However the gene is still incredibly rare. It appears in one in every 1000 births in the USA, One in every 150 african-american births and is more common in men. It occurs with the same frequency in the UK and majority of Europe. I'm not entirely sure about Asia though.

Correction: For RMS Olympic’s collision with HMS Hawke, she didn’t nearly sink. Only a few watertight compartments were breached and she remained afloat and returned to port…without even listing. I would like to point out that, while still rare, the gene responsible for 6 fingers on each hand instead of 5 is actually a dominant gene. It has simply been overtook by the recessive gene of having 5 fingers in most ancestral lines. It is also a mutation, just like how having only 3 digits on each hand can be a recessive gene or a mutation
