Bold of you to assume I didn't wanna spend 8 years of my life learning about weather patterns, very bold.

Also the double rain shadow effect is extreme in Chile, since in the north the Atacama desert is the driest non polar desert on Earth and in the south you have those huge glaciers aka Patagonian Ice Fields.

Sadly, the part about India was way off.
1. The rain shadow in the west/south west is created by the Western Ghats range and *not by the Aravallis*. The part to the West of the Ghats (the western coastal plain) gets all the rain while the part to the east of it on the Deccan Plateau is arid.
2. The Aravallis are up in the north west but they create the *Thar Desert* due to their rain shadow, not the Rann of Kutch. The Rann was created when an area that was previously part of the Arabian Sea got closed off due to land uplift caused by tectonic forces.

Iran has the same rain shadow thing with the Alborz mountains in the north of Iran, where the north of mountains (and the south of Caspian Sea) has a humid semi-tropical climate with very green and beautiful forests known as the Hyrcanian forest, compared to dry climate of the south of Alborz mountains

Barbs: “You’re obviously thinking about the double rain shadow effect”
Me who read the title of the video: “I guess you are technically correct”

As a former geography teacher, I can tell you there are students who will answer the question "Why is it raining on one side of the mountains" with "..because the plants need water". Well it is true that on the windshadow side there will be less plants that need water. And plants that need less water.

The region you pointed in Paraguay is too south to be the Amazon. That’s the Chaco savannah or Pantanal at most.

I’m offended that the arrow said “Amazon” and pointed to a location way south of the Amazon bruh

It happens in New Zealand's South Island due to the Southern Alps. The West Coast is very wet and rainy, but when the clouds get over to the east, it becomes a hot dry nor'west wind.

Drove west to east across the big island of Hawaii, and it was fascinating seeing this change in real time.
