Sort Meghan Markle and Prince Harry saga, fix The Firm: King Charles' in-tray | Palace Confidential. Sort Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, fix The Firm: King Charles III's in-tray | Palace Confidential King Charles comes to the role with an unenviably packed in-tray – but it’s not matters of state that should concern him most, but matters closer to home. That’s the view of the Daily Mail’s columnist Sarah Vine who believes that resolving the conflict with his younger son should be top of His Majesty’s to do list. ‘He’s got to sort out the Harry and Meghan situation, because I don’ think the truce was a truce, I think it was for the cameras,’ she tells our royal talk show Palace Confidential. ‘I’m not hearing anything good about Harry… he’s acting up and it’s not really a very good situation,’ ‘That needs to be resolved because he’ll go back to America and he’ll publish this book and goodness knows what will be in it. The Queen used to be the buffer – so that’s a real problem.’

My opinion: publish the book and be done it with it. Harry is the person who will lose.

When you leave the military and the Royal family, you give up your duties. Therefore, you give up the right to wear the uniform. When other soldiers leave, they aren't given special permission to wear their uniform. This just highlights how privileged he is. I'm over his incessant whining and entitlement.

Can we stop acting like H&M are being punished instead of just facing the consequences of their actions & choices? We all saw that no matter how many gestures of goodwill and bending the rules Charles did to make Harry & Meghan welcome —welcome, I might add, after all the nasty lies they’ve told and the constant barrage of lies they put in the press, every kind gesture was thrown back in his face, or William & Catherine’s faces, DESPITE the fact that Harry has been throwing a 2-year long hissy fit about his non-existent need for IPP security, and had NO intention of seeing his ailing 96-year-old grandmother while in the country. How can people not see how awful he & Meghan are? He did not have a security breach the last time he went to the well child awards. He left, and a few seconds later, a van pulled out and slowly drove out of the parking lot. That’s it.

I’m American and just think Charles needs to pull the bandage off quickly. Take the dukedom, take Frogmore and make it a center to support wounded veterans or some other charitable endeavor, work with parliament to remove the counselor of state positions from Andrew & Harry & bring Anne, Edward, Catherine, or Sophie forward. He needs to scrub Harry & Meghan from everything and make it permanent. They can remain much loved members of the family and have no role other than that.

I would like to remind you that Harry & his wife has humiliated his family for the past years.

I don’t see where the RF humiliated Harry. If anything they bent over backwards to appease that vile couple 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦

Richard Eden is right. Give H&M an inch and they take a mile……then they’ll publicly trash the King and the family for anything they’re given. Their behavior at the funeral just proved it.

American here, I wouldn't call Gayle King a journalist anymore than Perez Hilton is one.

Totally agree. Let Prince Harry publish his book and be done with it. You can’t allow that to dominate any decisions king wishes to take.

I personally do not think the Royal Family humiliated Harry.Humiliating him would have been refusing to allow his wife to be a part of any of the ceremony’s.
They were in London, they must have known that his grandmother was extremely old and frail, yet they refused her invitation to Balmoral.

The Queen gave the Sussex's a year to decide whether they wanted to leave or stay in the working Royal fold.

The RF didn't humiliate Harry, Harry and Meghan humiliated themselves

I don't think Charles humiliated Harry. Just the opposite.

The general public in the U.S. couldn't care less about Prince Harry & Megan Markle. They are just a source of gossip; low level entertainment

Lets not feel sorry for Harry. There is family then there is the Monarchy, Charles as King needs to follow protocol regardless if it hurts Harry"s feelings. Prince William and Princess Catherine will lead the family and probably William who has a stiffer spine than his father will offer his father good advice.

Harry must learn that actions have consequences…something he seems not to have learned before.

It doesn't matter what the King or Prince William say or do, Harry and Meghan are going to say whatever they are going to say. No matter how much the RF give in it won't matter. H&M will just keep moving the goalposts. I get tired of hearing that fixing the problem is down to Charles and William to fix. Also saying the RF should have taken more time and thought through things more is absolutely ridiculous. The Queen gave these two a full year to decide what they wanted to do. Harry made his decision knowing full well the consequences. Why should anyone feel sorry for him? I certainly do not.

It was Harry’s choice to walk away from royal duties. That has consequences and he must live with them including not being able to have free security or wear military uniform. Retired soldiers do not have the right to wear uniform. Harry only had that right as a working member and representative of the Crown. It wasn’t personal. Also the late Queen planned her own funeral. It was her decision. Harry refused an invitation to visit his grandmother at Balmoral just 3 days before she died. That tells you all you need to know about him.

Stop. Harry humiliated himself. He’s always complaining. He’s not a victim. He’s a grown man. He made choices. CONSEQUENCES.

I disagree, Charles got a very warm reception and support. That was shown when the crowd sang to him during walk about.
He definitely needs to clear up these damaging Sussex.
