Good talk. My only genuine criticism is that I don't like talks being conducted alongside table service with people eating and clanking. If there is any way to avoid the two coinciding I think it would be preferable. You may disagree with me.

The role of reason in capitalism, as I understand, is this. There is a youTube video called "Reason Requires Capitalism" I found it while I was looking for a specific reference for a statement I came across, either written or spoken in the 1970's "If I had to choose between capitalism not supported by reason or not at all, then 'not at all'"
Question for Dr. Mayhew: How does an Objectivist end up teaching at a CAhtolic College? and Could I talk you into moving to Providence College? When I was there in the 1970's, they had a hell of a philosophy Dept. VERY Aristotelian. When I gave a lecture on Objectivism in on Western Cive class Philosophy seminor, The instructor, Dr. Jim Klelley, asmed me to stay over and do the same for the same seminar in the other Western Civ class. BTW. in retrospect it was a rubbish lecture, btu that was 1974 and I was an Objectivist for aboutg 5 years and chagne. I rather like the Dominicans

I think proponents of the main thrust of Rand would do well to be open to the possibility of spirituality and a rational basis for faith.
