The trap has one fatal flaw: teleportation. A stacis chamber can get the trapped player out with ease. Also, throwing an ender pearl the right way from the inside can get the trapped player stuck in a single place from where they can break themselves fully out.

I think you should've used ancient debris. Even though honeycomb blocks don't have a tool that breaks them the fastest, they are effected by efficiency. Ancient debris still takes longer to break with an efficiency 5 pickaxe than a honeycomb with no efficiency and is blast resistant and can also be pushed by pistons like honeycomb and unlike obsidian. Still a great trap though, sad it didn't work.

Edit: Just finished watching it and HOLY MOLY THIS IS SO GOOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The trap itself, the transitions, storytelling, animation, choice of music are all so well done. I can definitely tell that you spent a lot of time on it, the quality is insane
