According to his Instagram, he’s playing the OPRY, starting a tour this summer, and still in the Navy. I’m also in the Navy, I’ll support this dude so he can live his dreams. Do all his songs. Lol. Great reaction. Oh! And he’s recording his new album this summer!!

I really like his heartfelt lyrics. There was a long time in my life when I was too busy coping with today to think about tomorrow. Sometimes there were thoughts about someday in the future but usually just regrets about the past and struggles through the present. Catching up with old friends around a campfire is real. Learning to live in the present and let go of what has gone by, because what has happened, has happened and nothing we do now can go back and change it. That has made a difference. This moment is real. In a blink it is gone, to be replaced with another unique and special moment. It is awesome to have the opportunity to dream about the future but best not to let the dreams take over so much you fail to appreciate the journey of today. I guess that is a long way of saying his song made me reflect on some things and miss some friends. It is good to see Zach and you both value your friends and those close to you.

This song and your reaction captures a feeling that is all too real to so many people. I’m one of those “someday” people, and the worst part is that I’m conscious of the fact that I’m wasting today by yearning for someday. But again, songs like these and reactions like yours remind me that right now is what matters.

From Zach W: this by no means is me trying to contradict anything you’re saying (around 4:10 mark I think), because I understand what you said flat out and with you being a musician, you understand better than anyone what I’m about to say. But also what I’ve begun to realize in my short 24 years of being on this planet is maybe the best musicians and people to feature on ones songs are the ones you and I have never heard of or haven’t heard of yet.
