26 lbs is a proper number for intermediate players, it provides a mix of control and power.

25lbs. BG66 Ultimax.

Tried 26 and 28. 28 strained my shoulder and felt like a brick. Don't think I'm middling it enough.

26 is decent but I prefer 24 so I get it strung at 25 and pretty much within a week it's at 24.

Knowing your limits is a key part of the game.

I would like to try other strings to see if there is a difference but cost. Once I used aerobite, control felt amazing but strings didn't last at all. Used BG80 Power once and I didn't like the feeling.

As an Intermediate player, I’m currently using arcsaber 11pro with string tension 27lbs as my main racket. Im Kinda a control player with some smashes. Need to upgrade my skill and physical ability before going out with 100zz 28lbs 😅

I am an intermediate player with Astrox 88D Game and Li Ning 1 strings at 26lbs. I need to restring to 27-28 lbs soon, because 26 is too soft for me. I think 27 lbs will be a good tension.

It also depends on the stiffness of the shaft, number of holes on the frame and the "hardness" of the frame/string bed

I am an entaimediate with a string tension of 30 lbs and I use nanoflare 1000z I will try 27 if my string breaks.

My experience with 30 lbs: 30 lbs is generally hard and is easy to break good for smashes when u hit the sweet spot
But i would recommend 26 to 27 pounds that is fir me I was just trying 30 lbs

If Akane Yamaguchi plays at 24-26 lbs, how does one justify higher tensions? Been wondering about this ever since your interview with her

I used to do 29-31, but now Im at 26-28 10% prestretch. Downgrade? Nope, Im willing to lower my ego to get a better game for my current usage and situation. Ex Malaysian state player (U21) here.

Hi CK, I really hope you will respond to my question. Is there a difference between stringing 27x29 lbs compared to straight 28 lbs? Thanks in advance!

My racket is 24 lbs and i’m not satisfied with my smashes. I tried to use the racket of my friends, strung at at-least 30 lbs and the it gave me the satisfaction that i didn’t get when using the 24 lbs. i recently started playing again from a hiatus of about 6 years, the last time i played in court was during my elementary and i’m in college now 💀

I use 27 Bg65 titanium it provides better control and it helps to smash really good, i will go for 29 in next restringing

How fast does the tension reduce. How much time does it take.. is it different for different strings...

I realized I gain points more through more controled shots/returns, not smashing power. Lower tension can give boost through catapult action but in expense of control. Hence 27 or 28 lbs is best for me.

Hi, please suggest - what should be ideal tension for Victor’s HS Plus AuraSpeed racket? & which string you recommend for the same racket mentioned.❤
Playing since 15 years.

Can someone tell what's roughly the default tension on rackets? By this I mean the strings you get attached along with the racket when bought

Beginner here, is there a way to know whether a racket definitely needs restringing, like from pressing your fingers on it? I get minimum bend in the mesh when I press with my fingers, and the devil in my mind is telling me maybe it needs restringing, but there's also a good chance I have no idea what I'm saying and a restrung racket at 22lbs is exactly what I have.

I guess thin and thick string got different feelings though strung at same tension
