A few years ago I purchased a mount from a company called Offroam, a premium all-metal mount. It was suppose to clip into any of the air vents, and never come out. Yeah, that lasted one hunting trip after traveling for about 1/2 an hour on some bumpy off roads. Kept it though until I upgraded my stereo to a Sony XVA-AX6000 bundle system that has Apple Car Play with it. Trail Grid Pro sells numerous systems for Tacoma owners. Well worth the upgrade, and now I don't have to worry about my phone and mount coming off and hitting me in the lap.

i've been using this for a while, too, and it works very well in my Taco.

I never buy mounts because they are bulky and don’t work very well. I’m going to give this one a try.

6 months later 10/10 recommend.

TIP: Use an Adhesion Promoter to have the longest lasting stick... Eg LLPT 94. I've been using this model Steelie for many years. In my 2018 Taco, it is mounted a bit lower than in this video... top right corner of the air vent area next to the Audio touch button... great viewing angle... have to close that vent when running heat.

This is a good system for sure. However, galaxy note and S series users may experience an issue with the same pen due to the strength of the magnet. I ended up giving mine to my son-in-law for his iPhone. He loves it.
