Thank you for a very astute and well-thought-out assessment of my favorite musical. I knew it well when I saw the 1980 revival with Richard Burton at the age of 14 (remember it like it was yesterday) and I was lucky to play Arthur myself in a high school production. Not since, though I've auditioned a few times. I've learned a few things from your video. Keep up the great work!

SO glad you did this!! Camelot was my second favorite original Broadway score as a kid. (My first fave was Hair. My mom bought the album in '68 when it came out. I was 2, and don't get me started on how much flack my mom got from my grandparents when I broke out into song! ) But I digress...

The original actress in the Broadway production was Julie Andrews. During one of the performances, Walt Disney was part of the audience. After the show was over, Walt goes back state and meets Julie. It was this meeting that brought Julie to Disney studios and the female lead in Mary Poppins, Julie's first film role.
