Read to your baby as early as possible! I used to read to mine when breastfeeding them almost from birth! I started with children's Bibles. X

I do think audiobooks have their place. My children would go to the library and borrow some stories and listen to them when travelling or ready for bed (after I had read to them). They still talk about the stories now - Sophie's Snail! Don't forget picture books. You can use your own words and expressions to tell the story.

Why not both read to him, , you when you put him down for his nap, and your husband when he goes to bed. Take time in the afternoon to read to your son.
