This new 980K loads Topsoil on a CAT 740 in a marble quarry in germany !

That is a very good operator faced with difficult conditions and doing well. He has a good feel for the machine, just hope it doesn't rain tho!!

A good loader operator never spins a tire.

Chains are filled with mud and gravel. So maybe even in light throttle it spins. I have been running in so slippery conditions that it is very difficult to not spin tires on 988 cat.

I'm guessing that's a job they do very rarely (moving soil), seeing as they are in a marble quarry. So they are using equipment they have close and available. You use what you have, not always the best for the job.

Ya excavator would probably work better but when you got a 980k why not use it?  the chains make the tires last way longer considering there about $12000 a piece.  I cant believe how compacted that material is its no wonder he spins a little.

maybe the company who bought it should've gotten the rock configuration of the 980k

Wheel spin and rocking the bucket down = FAIL. Take what you can get from that hard bank and make more passes, it'll be much easier on the machine.

4 struggled buckets and brings some back with him! Not the best. 4 smaller passess would not have the machine kanckered by 10 thou.
mind you, my company employs lots of agency, stupid born the lot of them! drive just like this.
