I like the theory of Yuji being a allegory for buddhism forgiveness, and his domain effect is based on him asking u to change.

- Then, If you do, and you mean it, the Domain cancels and you can go.
- Then, If you don't, Yuji will kill you. However, in the afterlife, you'll find solance to change your ways for your next reincarnation.

In other words.

My theory is that Yuji’s domain expansion has both dismantle and repair. A technique can have two different abilities if you reverse it. Gojo’s reversal red, Kenjaku’s gravity reversal. So naturally the reverse of “dismantle” would be “repair”. What if Yuji repaired Megumi and Sukuna’s souls. After all Megumi used to have zero will to live but after Yuji used his domain he was ableto fight back.
