NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft dropped its sample return container through Earth's atmosphere, safely landing in the Utah desert. In 2016, OSIRIS-REx embarked on a mission to visit the asteroid Bennu, a relic from the early solar system, collecting a precious sample of pure asteroid dust in 2020. Now, years later, it has fulfilled its mission, bringing home this invaluable treasure. Studying this dust from Bennu promises to unlock the secrets of our early solar system that have remained hidden for eons. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the primeval solar system and learn about the universe's origins.

Turns out that after the apophis flyby in 2029, OSIRIS-REx will visit the peanut 1 day later and it will approach apophis a few 70km from the little guy.
