If we want a world class 80, 000 seater stadium with the opportunity for twice as many fans to enjoy a leading match day experience then we have to move. If we want years of disruption to end up with a mid table ground then we can stay at The Bridge. I can understand why some people don't want to move, but the alternative is pretty poor. If Earl's Court is an option, 'move' would be my preferred option. If the 'move' was to a different part of London, or outside of London even, then I'd vote 'stay'.

Earls court is still our part of London, Great connections and transport options .. would be sad to say goodbye to the bridge but if we ended up with a world leading stadium I'd be comfortable with that .

Re-locate is what I think is best. Like you said we can still play at Stamford bridge whilst this build happens and hopefully there's more stability 3-5 years down the line that when we move into the new stadium is ready it's a simple transition

yan. just wanted to say how much i love your channel. love the positivity and the criticicsm when appropriate. my mom is in her 80s and loves your content too. she says lunch is on her if we ever make it to london for a game or you ever come to the US.

I don't quite understand why everyone is still going on about the plot of land at earl's court as that has already been allocated for alternative matters. There is no space available for Chelsea to build a stadium at earls court . That' message is coming from the developers at earl's court.

We need a new stadium period. While the history is there for Chelsea, the current stadium is so quiet, every time I go to watch a game the atmosphere & noise is near absent. We need a new stadium to improve capacity & to hopefully use sound engineering to amplify the noise we can make to back the lads!

We need to move and also look at it this way if it takes 2/3 years to build our young team we should be hitting the peak form, , so moving to a new home wont upset there playing form so much [hopefully]

i understand the sentimentality of Stamford Bridge, but chelsea has to be able to compete with the Big 6 on the pitch and off as well, west ham, tottenham and alot of smaller brand clubs will soon eclipse chelsea in matchday revenue...profit and sustainability will be kicking our bums severely, we need at least an 80, 000 seater to compete and remain a global brand...a hard decision must be made..

I want to see a game without Enzo in the midfield, sometimes we are blindfolded by our likeness for these players. Enzo has not been fantastic in my opinion.

I don't live in the UK and only make it to a few games each season, but fwiw my preference would be:

1. New stadium at Earl's Court
2. Wreck and rebuild Stamford Bridge
....
99. Stand by stand rebuild

I totally understand the concerns about moving but it's literally the only option that would both avoid short term disruptions with the team AND achieve the long term objective of moving to a bigger, modern stadium. The main downsides are all related to just how the fans feel about it and I just think there are ways to mitigate that.

STAMFORD BRIDGE MEMORIES! One of my old schools got knocked down and there’s a housing estate there now ! That hurts / like part of my young life demolished/ so moving from Stamford bridge / I’ll be on my knees ! I hope not !

In regards to the stadium we have to keep in mind that f.e. Manchester United have double the matchday revenue compared to Chelsea. We need a Stadium with bigger capacity to compete in the future. We cant sell academy players for ~130mil every summer. Like we did in the last transfer window. And at one point there arent any loopholes left to "exploit". So in terms of future transfers we are basicly heading into a "sell to buy" situation . The problem is that if we rebuild stand by stand we loose a lot of the current capacity. And if we tear down the whole bridge we have to find a stadium which is availible for our home games in the prem and domestic cups plus cross fingers for european cup games too. Most likely for at least 3 maybe 4 years. So building a new stadium on a new location is the obvious solution. It would allow us to play at the Bridge while the new Stadium is build. But then we have to sort out all the jeez with the CPO. Cause without their permission we cant move elsewhere keep using the Name "Chelsea Football Club". Thats one of the reasons why Roman couldnt move forward with his Stadium Plans back then.

I truely hope the CPO will give his permission to move to a different location for the mens team. Keep Standford Bridge as it is(ofc renovate whats needed) and make it the new home for our womens team. ATM womens football is the fastest growing sports in north america and europe. Our womens team is one of the most successfull teams in the world. Even in a couple years they might have troubles to sell out the Bridge on a regular base. But imo they deserve a "decent" stadium. They won the league already 5 times in a row and can make it 6 this season.

8 minutes down the road, we need to bite the bullet and move, our history is still ours

5:39 Yann, two other major pros of moving to Earls Court you’ve missed are: 1) we’ll actually be IN Chelsea 2) we can still go to “The Bridge” (albeit Lillie Bridge not Stamford Bridge)

We wont be going to Earls Court, we had the change to acquire the land and we rejected it, the current developer has no interest (because they submitted the plans for development already), the transport infrastructure would need improving (local stations are not fit for purpose) and we are not going to spend £500 million to acquire the site when we have just spent £75 million buying out the pensioners block next to the Bridge.

This is story floated to distract from one of the two parties vying for control. In all honesty whoever cracks on with the redevelopment first gets my vote, that shows a long term commitment to the club and its one i suspect Clearlake are less interested in pursuing.

Happy to build on Earls Court! We need a bigger and better stadium. I know some fans want to stay for nostalgic reasons. However think about the clubs and future supporters experience!
