Loving the stories: subscribed! One nitpicky thing, please forgive me: waif is pronounced "wayf" as in "wafer cookie", not "wife". It means a small slender person. It's often used to describe hungry children (if you live in the Dickens era). He's calling her a tiny slip of a thing.

My parents owned a comic / gaming shop and it was my first job. I'm female, at the time a highschool female, so... yeah, you can imagine. I actually adore nerdy guys, but not the unhygienic toxic kind.
