I'm looking into the same setup for my hardtail tires. Have always rode with various Maxxis setups, I like the look of the tan wall tire.

Awesome review on a combo I've been interested in. My trails are all roots over hardpack XC types and the DHF/DHR is way overkill. Two questions I had for anyone who's run these, 1, would these be comparable to a Maxxis Dissector/Aggressor combo, and 2, as a 200+ guy how are they in combination with cushcore for drops and jumps on a hardtail? Thank you.

Im looking at this setup for my Commencal Meta hardtail I was thinking 29 x 2.4 honcho LS (F) and 2.3 ehline Durable (R) with a insert . Do you think I can get away with both tires being light and supple casing and just have a insert in the rear?
