Half of those are not German haha but still delicious! Also, those are pelmeni :) pierogis are Polish and are closer to Russian “vareniki” (вареники). Pelmeni are stuffed with meat and vareniki are vegetarian (but can be filled sweet or savory).

I have honestly no idea, most of the stuff she got here was not remotely German, I don't know what they sell in the US. When I go to a supermarket here, I can find Meggle Butter, the Haribo stuff (which is pretty good!) and maybe Wasa Knäckebrot but I would rather choose Burger Knäckebrot, I find the taste much better.
The brownie stuff looked tasty though! :)

Is it "pelmeni" or "pierogi"? And what does "Siberian" recipe mean?

The Speculaas is a Dutch thing! It’s really good! The stuffed speculaas (gevulde speculaas) is my favorite! It has a big layer of almondpaste (amandelspijs) in the middel! It’s the sandwich looking thing on the box!

You can also make the normal cookies. It’s normally made to press the dough into a piece of wood (speculaasplank) with different kind of prints taken out of it. Like the windmill you can see of the box! Also you can make speculaas chunks (speculaas brokken). You make with the dough one thick fat cookie and after baking you break them in chunks!!

Speculaas is one of my favorite cookies here in the Netherlands, it’s just amazing! Love the see you make it Jeanelle! 😁

Speculaas is a dutch cookie with strong ties to the Sinterklaas celebration. It's a hard, crunchy cookie that contains several spices like cinnamon, cloves and anise. The cookie butter you're probably talking about is made with speculOOs, not speculAAs. Speculoos is a belgian thing, and tastes quite different. They're both tasty though.

my german grandparents always called it “pierogi” but it might be pronounced differently in poland

i’m really happy you’re showing off german foods in a positive light! it wasn’t all too often (thank goodness) but i’ve had classmates and close friends throughout school making fun and calling foods like liverwurst and sauerkraut nasty and whatnot, which always hurt. anyway, thank you again!!

These are definitely pelmeni! I am from Russia and I grew up eating pelmeni. They are thought to originate from Siberia, that's why it says 'Siberian recipe' on the packaging (marketinggg) ;)

Love her way of saying "SO GOOD" everytime

Speculaas is Dutch. Germans use the word Spekulatius.

"Pierogi" literally means "dumplings" and it's already plural, so one dumpling is "pieróg" [pieroog].

The flatbread with the lady on the package is Norwegian 😄 we eat it a lot here with soups, stews and such. Would love to see you try it!

Those Haribo Berries are my all time favorite gummy candy. The textural contrast is so great to chew on, it's slightly sour and they're not overly sweet imo. Hope you guys enjoy them!!! 😄

„Grandmas pierogi“ is just the name of the brand this Typ of dumplings is called “pilmeni” you have to cook them in boiling water with a pinch of salt and then eat them with sour Creme and sprinkle some dill over them (that’s the Russian way ☺️)

Ooooo the Wasa crispbread is Swedish, but we call it ”knäckebröd”. You can have it with so many different toppings but my favourite is just some simple butter and cheese 😋
