Actually unlike the archons from genshin the aeons dont care for humans or most of them don't. They are focused on their exclusively and so only when a human upholds their they will through them a brief glance and then nothing more that's how we get pathstriders which are most of the playable characters so far. But every once in a while the a3ons will find a human who impresses them and will directly give them power and that's how we get emanators like Herta who's an emanator of Nous the erudition.

It's so interesting that of Lan's path of the hunt wasn't focused on antagonising Yaoshi the abundance they would have ignored the suffering of the Xianzhou.

I swear this is happening in the Genshin Imact universe but far after the end of the story. Possibly there are two universes that have merged, something like a conjunction of spheres in witcher 💀

Wasn't gonna recommend this until you finished the current story for patch 1.0 as it contains spoiler for the xianzhou arc (especially act 2 of the main story), but for context sake:

1:18 is the beginning of the war between the path of the hunt vs the path of abundance. The Aeon of Abundance, Yaoshi, grew this divine tree (its called ambrosia amber, iirc) whose fruit allow someone to attain immortality.

But how can immortality be considered as a curse? Well, what if said immortality turn them into a monster? That's where those mara-stricken soldiers came from. These beasts ravaged, attacked, and destroyed the Xianzhou civilization.

However, just as the alliance is in the brink of destruction. The Aeon of The Hunt, Lan, cut the tree and remove the source of despair for the people of Xiangzhou. That's why the Xianzhou now fighting against the Abundance, because her "gift" quite literally almost destroyed the entire civilization. Big irony for the Aeon of Abundance, eh?

Also, dimi, you'll find out more about this on act 2 of the Xianzhou main story. Its good stuff.
