I love how they made the gun so loud that you'll be too scared to even fire it.

Amnesia will always have a special place in my heart, and I absolutely loved SOMA! I cannot wait to see what this game has in store!

Loving this! Really liking the switch from the gothic horror to something that reminds me of Penumbra.

Whoever's doing the weapon animations for this game is doing a great job

Looks promising. Let's hope that it's gonna be as immersive as Dark Descent.

For me, the pinnacle of your games was SOMA: awesome story, gameplay... Love all your games!

So not only is it a tool for self defense, it can also be used to solve some riddles (I assume) and get through obstacles. Neat!

Looks like we're going to play as a French soldier, which makes running away from encounters more realistic.

The quality of those animations is light years ahead of anything in previous titles from Frictional. This game looks amazing!

Loving everything about this upcoming sequel. Loved Rebirth and every previous games. Can't wait to cover it and translate it to Polish! Keep up the great work, guys!

Love the sound design. The guy's shooting a revolver in an enclosed space underground without anywhere for the sound to escape so the gunshot just bounces off the walls like a tin can and makes the protagonist's ears ring for a second or two.

I hope the music returns as well to make the silent parts stand out. Amnesia The Dark Descent music made the game what it is.

I've learned two things in this comment section. People like to jump to conclusions and people for some reason didn't like Rebirth.

Loving the concept of the gun as something that can be used beyond just defense with both risks and rewards.

Top notch sound design as always, but does no one notice that the lock makes no sense?
Its only attached to the handle, what does it lock lol

As a video game firearm's consultant and enthusiast.
I am excited for this new release of the Amnesia series but there are a few things they got wrong when it comes to both the handling of the firearm and the reloading of it.

1. - The Protagonist braces for the revolver's recoil by holding the gun with both hands.
During the WWI and WWII wartime eras, no soldier would ever be caught trying to stabilize their handgun with both hands. I know its a revolver, but it is also a HANDGUN, and if you look at the word 'HANDGUN' you can kind of figure out that they were trained to fire the gun using only one hand. After WWII, the double handed method of holding handguns became more of a common practice!
2. - *Nitpick* All of the bullets ejected were not fired. (Unless it was an intentional use of only to use one bullet or partial reload.)
When he aims the firearm, two audible clicks are heard when he pulls the trigger whilst aiming at the padlock. The primers of the bullets were not struck hard enough to ignite the gunpowder in the cartridge, that would've sent lead through the barrel and at the intended target... When reloading, none of the cartridges were spent... Could this hint that some bullets were duds? Is there a game mechanic preventing the firing of those bullets yet? Is there a possibility for the hammer to become weakened after using it too much? OR was this just an overlooked detail in the animation when loading the firearm?...

Only time will tell, and only if Frictional answers our questions regarding the use of it.
The revolver seems to be a Nagant Revolver, Model 1910 with a swing-out cylinder and double-action fire capability! (Double-Action(s), during the WWI era, were only assigned to officers!)
Using either .32 ACP or the Swiss 7.5mm 1882 Ordinance.
There is no way those are 7.62x38mmR rounds!
Cheers!

Remember the audio is really what makes games scary.
