Craig Kallman and President of A&R Pete Ganbarg, he explored his formative influences, ranging from timeless singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Carole King to legendary crooners like Donny Hathaway, Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder. As a result, the music delivers confessional lyricism by way of soulful intimacy as part of one cohesive narrative on his 2019 full-length debut, Sing To Me Instead. The 12-track album, which was primarily produced by Jenn Decilveo, chronicles the highs and lows of a transformative relationship. Showcasing his story, Ben penned several songs solo and co-wrote the remainder of material alongside the likes of Ben Abraham, Eg White, Nate Cyphert, Michael Pollack, and more.

ben, this is a complete long shot but i figure i might as well reach out. my 15th birthday is on may 4 and i am coming out to see your chicago show on may 3. i am so so so so excited to come see your kind soul and hear your amazing voice. my mom tried to get vip tickets for our family, but they sold out before we could get them. i have been through a lot in the few years i’ve been on this earth with medical issues such as arthritis and a genetic collagen defect, but music is the main thing that has gotten me through the long days. i am also a singer and can only dream of accomplishing the things you have. i hope to one day be on broadway as well. you are a major inspiration for me and your array of work has touched me on a level that nothing else ever has. is there any way i could get my family vip tickets, all of this said? even if we can’t get all 4 people in, even just 2 tickets for my mom and i would be extraordinary. i understand that you are a very busy person with lots of things to do and places to be and that you may not be able to accommodate my request, but it’s always better safe than sorry. not matter what happens, i will always support everything you do and look up to you as a major source of inspiration. i look forward to seeing you in chicago 💗 iris jordan
