Armoloq makes a really nice product. I built a GMRS manpack around a Wouxun KG-1000g plus and a 20ah battery as a truck deployable base station. Using a 40 foot Spiderbeam mast and N9TAX antenna I managed to nail a repeater 35 miles away on battery power.

Great demo, Mike. I haven't pulled the trigger on the Armoloq yet but it is on my radar. I currently use a Gigaparts sling bag similar to what they shipped us when you bought the 891.

Dremel or rattail/chainsaw file, the Anderson powerpole m-lok adapter you can put a zip tie to secure it. That’s the new standard size enclosure for the digirig now for all models

I saw these somewhere and was all excited about them. Then I opened up my Explorer bag and remembered I purchased the padded 891 pouch for it and it fits nicely with everything else. I was thinking I was going to put the Armoloq on it and stick in the bag....nope. GigaParts had other plans for me.

Mike, don't mod the armolog. Make a small plate to put on the cage that will also accept the bail little buggy bumper things. Super easy to do, from previous videos I know you know where to get M-lock screws :-)

I want to build something like this for my g90 but I’d like something a bit more complete. All the stuff bolted to the outside defeats the purpose of the cage. Plus with all the remote terminals you end up with connector going to connector going to connector which is like to avoid.

Thanks for the heads up on the antenna "jumper" just contacted ABR and have one ordered. Now to just order the accessories for my Armoloq cage and get mine built up. Now to just figure out what size battery I want to go with to power my portable setup.

Thanks for the video Mike, I’ve got my Armoloq’d 891 already, just waiting on my 12Ah Bioenno to arrive, and going to pull the trigger on a similar but not the same bag as that one is out of stock (and I like OD Green better than FDE lol). I also thought the same thing about the kick-out stand. I ended up putting 2x of the 3.5mm jack relocators on the bottom of my setup wich acts as a permanent stand of sorts. One for a CW key and the other one for the ALC jack (which I use to hook up to my LDG Auto Tuner at home)
