Flame Spray Hard Surfacing of Combine Parts! - Terodyn 2000

This is some video that was shot while I was applying surface coatings to a large batch of combine parts. These go to a CaseIH 7230 combine. This combine had about 1800 hrs of harvesting time on it and all the metal parts in the separator were worn thin or to failure by abrasion from the grain. We are applying a bond coat and a tungsten carbide top coat that when finished is highly abrasion resistant and very hard, about Rockwell C50 - C55. We are applying this with our Eutectic Castolin TeroDyn 2000 system, with the Rotojet (air blast) attachment. We are using aftermarket powders from Thermal Spray Depot, but the Eutectic equivalent is 21021 for the bond coat and 29123 for the top coat.
