hikite is so under rated, I've used this many times to get out of a hold, if they grab your wrist or your arm or even shoulder it just has so many applications, specially if you know how to shift your weight into another stance effectively

He's not shouting anymore, very good demonstration. I'm glad I'm not fighting him!

Again good demonstration showing practicable application to the simplest movements. I shows you had good instructors in your development. It allowed you to express your thoughts and insights very well🙇🏾‍♂️🥋❤️

Hikite= pulling or receiving technique pulling the opponent with one hand stikeing them with the other hand
Pulling them in to the strike to increase impact of the strike
Like a train crash or car crash for your opponent same principles as being in a car crash
You get to go home safe to your family while your attacker goes to the hospital
Awesome video 🔥 i love the snap in your techniques ...

I really love how you could bridge tge gap between the kata and the bungkai. How you translate kata moves into self deffense move is so creative and effective.

The beauty of Shoto-kan. It teaches both Hard and Soft movements. Big or Small fat or skinny, doesn't matter train, be aware of what your body is doing. And you will be amazed at the outcome.
Shoto-Kan, all Japanese martial arts are branches of her tree.

When I was young, i watched a lot movies with Michael Dudikoff.
I was always fascinated how he jumped over the obstacles and jumped down from heights.
Tried that myself... And got hurt badly 🤕... I immediately knew i can't be an American Ninja 😉

Kinda frustrated I never connected the pull with the Gi grab... Given we trained in sleeveless Kung Fu tops but still that's a great connection for technique and practice. Thanks for sharing!
