Donor support for empowerment and accountability in fragile, violent, conflict-affected settings

describes new analytical framework developed by the from the IDS-led Action for Empowerment and Accountability (A4EA) research programme: the "interaction effects lens". This lets you look at the different moving parts in a big donor project, and the relationship between what's going on in a donor project and the wider context (including projects with similar aims funded by other international donors). The interactive effect lens presents three different scenarios which helps explains how different donor programmes (working on similar areas) interact either creating synergy , parallel play or disconnects.
