Official Sea of Thieves Developer Update: January 16th 2019

- Fishing
-Gambling
-Dungeons
-Different ship types
-Talent tree and leveling system for each player
-Weeklies and dailies
-More PvP events (cat&mouse / flags / ground fights)
-In-game guilds/alliances, fleet battles
-Friendlier gameplay environment for solo players
-Expand Map (Larger cities (Tortuga type), overal llarger ground areas for exploration, perhaps even some sort of "scuba diving", similar to the one in "AC Black Flag", to explore stuff underwater and/or hunt things with harpoons n stuff)
-Leaderboard events PvE/PvP

Cmon rare, these are just few of the things that come in at least my head. This game has so so much potential, and it is rly fun with people, it's just that, at the end of the day, all that looting seems kind of pointless. I'm looking forward to the upcoming updates. Please, make this the best pirate game to date!

The game NEEDS boss-specific loot!! Tie the Stronghold stuff to Forts, Skeleton Captain stuff to Skeleton Ships, and come up with something specific for Megs and Krakens, like a Megalodon Tooth or Megalodon Fin and Kraken Fang or Kraken Eye, who knows! That would make people to go after specific bosses or locations if they want/need specific loot, and would make everything more interesting, instead of having Skeleton Ships drop random cheap chests or crates and no Skeleton Captain Skulls or Chest. Btw, make the Skeleton Ship's Captain killable just like the fort counterpart - if you kill it, the crew will despawn and the ship sink.

Hmm. This is good news for those awaiting the Arena mode. I am sure Rare anticipates a swarm of new players with that launch and this will make it easier to get the initial download. It would also be a hard thing to ask new players to do shortly after loading the game for the first time. I am willing to trust them on this one. If they need it, I will happily download again.

0:10 - cheating, they have banned some cheaters.
0:34 - change to game install and patch process. Get ready to reinstall the whole game again in Feb. 6th
3:50 - He goes into detail with what we get on Feb. 6th:
4:01 - Streamer setting (turn off crew names for opposition crew)
4:20 - Remove double gunning
4:26 - "fun little thing" planned.
4:49 - They are prepping to give Arena to Pioneers

Im relieved that at least one group has realized that proper compression without skipping volatile information. Super important. Most phone apps these days just dont care and add a tremendous amount of space without any type of compression like they use to in eary 2000s'. Well done Rare. Respect!
