4 years gardening in raised beds!! I'm trying out a lot of things next year. I typically grow 6 tomato varieties, next year it will be 22 varieties. Usually grow 4-6 pepper varieties, next year it will be 12. And also, more varieties of beans, cucumbers, watermelons, melons, ....more flowers. I've never grown onions or garlic, but my garlic is already planted and will start onions next few weeks. I am also trying out container gardening, vermicomposting, and starting a monarch garden. I might be losing my mind, but I am planning as much as I can and just taking it 1 day at a time. 😅

Hi CaliKim, I love your videos and have bought lots of things from your site. Thank you. I noticed in all of the videos you don’t grow corn-on-the-cob. When I lived in SoCal I grew corn in my raised bed and that was so fun to watch it grow. It was so sweet and good. I’m in Az now and just might try it here. I have just added two 4' x 8' raised beds to my garden. As soon as I get them filled with soil, I am going to use two 16 foot cattle panels to make an arch between the two raised beds.

My "new" thing for 2021/2022 is a Greenleaf Planter! I just put up the "Inventor" model with 6 tiers! So I'm starting 36 seedlings to try & fill it with Winter plants!! I'll do the same in the Summer!! So far I just have Pansies (from the garden store) & lettuces & basil that I started back in November!! In another month or so I'll be able to put the seedlings in there! Looking forward to more of a "jungle" on my 1-BR apartment's Front Porch!!

It's been crazy so sorry I missed your live @CaliKim! Been wrapping and covering beans and peppers and my one eggplant and my cucamelon plant and 2 cages of 2 each cherry tomato plants! Put grow lights on them the golden nugget has tons of peppers. I got a small baggie of black eyed peas and several batches of green beans! I have asperbroc, herbs 5 different types of peas, radishes, beets, Brussel Sprouts, red acre cabbage, red cabbage, broccoli, purple broccoli, cauliflower, mustard greens, Georgia Collards. A lot of the plants were from seeds I got from you!! I'm really excited using a powder Captain Jacks Dead bug dust and some BT. Guess what growing nasturtiums and flowers from your cool weather packets!! Merry Christmas Kim!!

My list of mistakes. Will update this throughout the video:

I too have under-trellised my plants. My first year gardening, I didn’t use any trellising. Lol.

Have also started way too many seeds and at the wrong time. My first year starting seeds I started cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, and basil in those tiny peat pellets in December before Christmas. My last frost isn’t until early may…. WAY TOO EARLY!lol

New varieties: I’m going to grow celery, peanuts, melons, and sweet potatoes this year. I’ve grown sweet potatoes before but not the right way.

I get fungus gnats every year. So next year Ill be boiling my starting mix to sterilize it.

I have also over and under watered countless times. Every year it happens. This year I accidentally flooded my peppers and they developed blisters all over that made them look like aliens. lol. But it resolved after they dried out a bit.

Hello again, I ordered the Good Dirt for indoor growing. Do I need to sterilize that prior to planting seeds? I purchased the Bamboo grow light system and will be using that to plant your indoor seed collection. Thank you
