it is nice to see perrie among the powerhouses of this generation like kelly, ariana, etc. she has improving A LOT since LM5 era, see her enter her prime would be a dream come true but i think it’s not possible for now

It’s hard to say because there are amazing vocalists that aren’t as popular in mainstream. But I would say Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine, and Beyoncé are amazing.

In my opinion it is Mariah, she goes beyond vocal technique, she’s so intricate and every choice, every transition, every time she hits high notes it’s intentional, she emotes really well and even on the same song she changes the delivery and can give a new perspective to it, not to mention she writes and produces.

This is a bit subjective. Everybody has their own tastes and opinions. But I feel like Whitney Houston is the bar. She’s the standard of what a great vocalist is. The voters did an excellent job here! Every category was pretty much spot on.

unpopular opinion: Beyonce is the greatest technical vocalist in the music industry. that woman is a beast. the way she can maintain great singing despite doing intense choreo, has never had any vocal decline and has improved greatly through the years, every aspect and register of her voice is developed, and not to mention she actually and literally underwent classical vocal training.

It’s got to be Mariah in my opinion. Her voice is so beautiful and her ability to convey stories of her life through her songwriting and singing is just truely incredible

This is a great representation that Beyoncé’s voice/vocal abilities has been downplayed or under-rated throughout her career. GP saw her as a great performer and superstar, however, people just can’t accept that she’s also an excellent vocalist. They just can’t handle the truth and it’s sad.

In my humble opinion, Kelly Clarkson is better than Tori Kelly overall! Tori is better in terms of Vocal agility & low notes, but Kelly's a stronger belter, better emoter, more versatile and has better vocal stamina, vibrato and her tone is more pleasant to the ear!
