The crashed car is not the one Kevin was sitting in when Randall phoned. More likely that Kevin is passing that scene and trying to help. I loved someone else's suggestion that it might be cathartic for him to "save people from a burning car" because he carries the guilt of not having been there when his father was in the burning house and later died.

I love how people are freaking out when Kevin was already seen in the flash forward episodes. He's fine.

omfg, I know Kevin is alive but Madison...I have a horrible feeling that she's going to die during labour, or sometime after but I can just tell that this next episode is gonna be so stressful and a tearjerker, time to get mentally and emotionally prepared

Imagine how tense this would be if we didn’t get that scene in the future. It would be poignant to if we found out Kevin died without him and Randall being able to make amends with each other.

They didn’t show Maddison in the future because they didn’t want to spoil who was the mother! It doesn’t mean she dies!

Regardless of whether someone dies we know that Kevin has problems with addiction. If he gets in a bad accident he will probably be prescribed medicine and it may end up being similar to when he hurt his knee filming

I don't think Madison dies I think if anything it'll be a close call for her but I don't think they'll kill her off just because that's what so many people are expecting and This is Us is famous for doing the exact opposite of what anyone of us predict their storytelling is epic

This is why shows can’t make you think a character will die, when we know that they’re definitely alive in the future. Especially with prequels

Wouldn't it be something if future Kevin turns out to just be a figment of everyone's imagination? Like Randall needs closure with him in that scene like he received closure with his dead bio mom tonight?
