As u check n+1 or n-1,
Here seems n-1, n, n+1 consecutive so one must be divisible by 3

Take these integers, 35, 35+1=36, divisible by 3, but 35 is not a prime, rather than this 6m+1 or 6m-1 is a more substantial approach to the prime numbers

Don't follow this rule
Example : according to this rule, the number 713 is a prime number but this number is a composite number . The factor of 713 are 1, 23, 31, 713 so this a composite number

If a number is not divisible by 3 even after doing+1 and -1, can we be sure that its not prime number or it can still be prime number ??

Q) 7099 Is a prime number or not...??
A) the rule is :
* n+1 or n-1, the result is divisible by 3..if yes, then n can be a prime number....
So, 7099+1=7100 which is not divisible by 3 as he sum of the numbers is 8 and is not divisible by 3..
7099-1=7098 which is divisible by 3 as the sum of the number is 24 and is divisible by 3....
Hence, 7099 can be a prime number....

I got a question to find prime number from four options a) 187 b) 221 c) 391 d) 307 I was ur trick and to my surprise, according to ur trick(n-1, n+1 div by 3): it tells all can be a prime number. TRICK FAILS??
