Thank you for your review. I am one of the owners of a Grace Mondo.Liked that radio, looks good and worked fine until a couple of months ago. Did not know about Reciva and January 2021 and tried to fix my radio's problems by resetting to factory settings. This completely wiped out all presets and now only plays a promo. Grace cust service told me that unit cannot be fixed and offered the 35% deal for people living in the US. My option is to get an Mondo+ or an elite. Considering getting an Ocean portable.Glad that I saw your review.

Brad... Nice review. I am looking at the review on April 13, 2024. I am looking at the Mondo Elite, but this review has quashed my desire to spend. It has been 2.5+ years since your review. Do you know if Grace took your advice and improved the radio? I am an audio collector of systems, both retro and modern. I wanted to add this to my modern system, but I am not going to jump until I knew more about the state of the Mondo Elite. Any inew insight you can provide would be appreciated.

My old Livio is nothing but a digital clock/paperweight now.
Shame it didn’t have Bluetooth technology where i could have at least streamed via cellphone.

The older Mondo radio looks better, but it's probably just an expensive electronic brick by now. The Mondo+ and other newer Grace Digital radios may not look as flashy, but they have new and improved features that make them future proof, like Bluetooth and better USB connectivity and support for more devices. If Grace Digital's "MyRadios+" station database ever shuts down (God forbid) and you have one of the newer radios, you'll still be able to play internet radio stations by adding them to .m3u playlist files, saving the files to a USB stick or hard drive, plugging the USB stick or hard drive into the USB port on the radio, and accessing the .m3u playlist files through the radio's media player function. It may not look as neat as it usually does when you add and edit streams (complete with copied and pasted station logos) to your own, personal account in the station database, but it will still get the job done. You can also add inexpensive USB hubs that you can get from Amazon, if you need more storage or charging capacity. You should be able to find USB hubs, sticks, and/or hard drives that will run off of the radio's own power without having to plug them into a wall outlet.

I have two of the Mondo classic radios that used Reciva- they have been great but one has already lost its preset stations. I’m considering a new Mondo Elite as a replacement. I have an Ocean Digital- it works fine but is very basic and needs external amplified speakers connected to really enjoy the sound. I’m just looking around at videos to see if there is another option before I spend the money for two new Grace brand radios. I’d really prefer a wired Ethernet interface too, but that seems unlikely. Thanks for the video!
