The mantra of US car manufacturer's is "we can't do it, it's too hard."

In the 1980s, the big 3 kept saying that they were building the cars that Americans wanted, all the while the Japanese kept taking market share.
Now, they they're saying the same thing in regard to electric cars while the Koreans are increasing their elctric car sales and taking market share from the Americans, Tesla included. The more things
I wonder how this will end, lol.

Wait wasn’t there a “HUGE” markup on the Lightnings because of demand. 🤦🏻‍♂️ maybe if dealers weren’t marking them up, more would have been sold. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you build a Ford that costs like a Mercedes, well… you buy a Mercedes instead of a Ford. Or traditionally if an EV costs more than a Tesla, you buy a Tesla...

Farley gave a good speech about his skunk works, America going to smaller vehicles, etc. Then he walked it back.

too bad, they only had 20+ years to come up with an electric car or truck or suv, that they could be proud of.
even the utility companies in the US knew15 years ago, that ev's would be highly desirable by the public by 2025.

Who in Houston is going to buy an EV with our iffy electric grid.

Corporations trading in their future to stock prices in the short term is commonplace today.

Fairley is messing Ford up all around. He’s just floundering. He can’t stick with anything. They botched the EV rollout. They didn’t have them available when everyone wanted them. The dealers marked them up too high. Then they made the requirements too strict for the dealerships. Now our dealership doesn’t even TRY to sell them. The products are solid. The marketing is disastrous. They could build more vehicles on the same platform as their existing vehicles and save development costs. The F150 and Expedition currently share similar platforms . It’s basically an F150 with a body and independent rear suspension . Why not build an EV Expedition on the Lightning platform since the Lightning rear suspension is similar in design to the Expedition with a motor in place of the differential. They could stretch the Mach e and make a mid sized SUV or crossover. Slightly shorten it to make a smaller one. Just use different sheet metal like they did with the Fox body.

These Chinese tariffs will only be in place so long. Ford better hurry up. Otherwise they will lose their only market that they have now

So a new CEO will get people to want and buy the car? Clearly it's the CEO's fault that no one is buying. We need a new one.

FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily) the Ford MachE it’s Ben and around since 4/2021, that means they’ve been in production for over 3 1/2 years.

Fords Makes excellent EVs. Unfortunately there has been a flood of new EVs on the market and infrastructure and consumer demand and the the fact that ford doesn’t have the manufacturing ability to make a profitable ev like tesla is holding them back

The cool people and virtue signalers already bought theirs. There is no market for the rest. Supply and demand live in reality.

If American automaker can't make money selling EV after many years than stop selling it and allow China to sell in US without tariffs. China can sell for much cheaper, benefiting US consumers!

Since U.S. legacy auto is dropping EVs, U.S. should let in Chinese EVs .
