Benetti Superyachts - BNOW Series

At this year's Monaco Yacht Show I was invited to some Press Conferences held by yacht builders who wanted me to pass on their news to the viewers of my YouTube channel. The Benetti Press Conference was of particular interest, since it addressed the challenge of delivering yachts in the quickest possible time without compromising the quality of the product.
The Redman Whitely Dixon designed Benetti BNOW series is a great solution to this problem.

How do you choose a Captain as crew to manage your yacht?

David, you spoke of exhaust gasses being discharged into the water. Naval research, specifically relating to torpedo performance, has led to the use of air bubbles being emitted from the nose of a torpedo, allowing the weapon to travel extremely fast through the water, traveling essentially as a missile through the air, as the bubbles insulate it from the surrounding water, thereby reducing drag. Have yacht developers looked at this as it might apply to improving yacht performance. My theory would be to route exhaust gasses to the bow for discharge, so the full length of the hull could take advantage of the blanket of air bubbles and hopefully travel through the water with less drag? Any insight here?

Lookingforward tothe Benetti video. I would like to understand a bit more about the Benetti Sail Division too. They build some nice contemporary yachts with a canoe stern. Is this a sub division or a seperate business linked to the Benetti family?

Basically they are making the parts like the Sunseeker and Huntington Industries . Make the sections then fit together .. End of the day .. you can spend numerous millions on a build whereby the stern gives pirates such easy access to the whole boat . And you and your crew is ethier dead or held hostage in under 6 mins . Depending how well trained they are, ,, even at that why are so many folk in the industry are so woefully ignorant of the threat of piracy at sea . Far too many vessels are too easy to sneak aboard from the stern that's an issue that needs looked it .
