I tried this and I found that even with a larger phone I still found it too small to enjoy games where you need to read. In that sense I'm enjoying remote play on the steam deck more. I find the screen size to be perfect. If the Q provides a better screen I'm sold

thanks for pointing out how the port on there has no wiggle. i have the apple version and it broke my charge port on my iphone 13 pro. had to send it in to apple for repair thankfully under warranty. so be careful for sure.

I saw a rumor today that the Q-Lite device is going to only have 4 hours of battery life, which is a huge fail. Wouldn't surprise me if it is basically the same battery and had the same power requirments as a dualsense controller plus having to power that screen attached to it. When I saw that presentation is said, "Yeah, I'll just stick to my Backbone. It's alot controllers that work with phones but I think Backbone is the best because of it's app. Suck you have to pay a subscription for it, but like Marc The Geek said it really makes your phone seem like a legit handheld game consoles that is extremely versatile. The thing thats even better having it on Android now that the Android PS remote play app works with it is, If you want to play Xcloud you can actually do it inside a dedicated app on Android instead of having to play it through a browser like you do on Iphones. Granted Backbone has built its own browser inside of the app so you don't have to navigate to another app, your still playing in a browser. Probably going to be replacing my battery alot faster but its worth it, with a Backbone your phone really could be the only portable game machine you would need.

I use Remote Play a lot on my IPhone with the Backbone. So far it’s performance through Mobile data is smooth for me. I currently play The Last Of Us and Hogwarts Legacy and Borderlands 3 on it. Maybe I’ll get the Q, but I sorta doubt it. I want to buy it cuz I love anything that’s PlayStation.

While the Backbone is solid for most games I found it nearly impossible to use for FPS games. The analog sticks are way to tiny and aiming with those sticks are near impossible.

Unless the new Playstation Q portable allows you also to download to the device and play content in addition to streaming or remote play it's a fail in my book.

Now when I put my phone on this backbone its didn't ask for a password or anything else its just played the Madden football game
